Lotus Sculpture

I was contacted by Katherine Maunder, the founder of Threadtales Company, for a special collaboration. Katherine, a fashion designer based in Britain, had transitioned away from fast fashion and discovered lotus fiber, a unique and spiritual fabric crafted by the people of Inle Lake in Myanmar. She commissioned me to create a Lotus flower sculpture using this extraordinary lotus fabric. The project posed significant challenges as lotus fiber possesses distinct qualities compared to silk dupioni. Through our collaboration, we successfully crafted three Lotus sculptures, which were later showcased at the SoShiro Gallery in London.
